High Country NC Tourism Openings & Closures COVID-19

If you are in the NC High Country during the COVID-19 National Emergency, know that there are still activities available that will enhance your mountain experience.  Whether you are limiting your contact to groups under 50 or practicing social distancing (see our Blue Ridge Parkway page for area hiking trails!), we can help you with your planning. 

The High Country Regional Visitor Center is closed to the public until NC State Welcome Centers reopen. You can stop by the visitor center and pick up State, regional and Blue Ridge Parkway maps, hiking trail and lodging information in the "Take One" box located by our front door.  We will also update the list of openings/closures of top visitor activities listed below, daily:
