Stone Mountain State Park
Located just outside of Wilkesboro, Stone Mountain has an elevation of 2,305 so peak leaf color is predicted to be seen around the last week of October. Meander a hiking trail to a waterfall or the Huchinson Homestead.
KIDS TRACK TRAIL
This TRACK Trail is located on a portion of the park's Stone Mountain Trail. The TRACK portion is an easy .8 mile trail that runs from the Lower Trailhead parking lot to the historic Hutchinson Homestead. This trail is a great picnic opportunity, and offers restrooms as well.

Rolling Pines Disc Golf Course
North Wilkesboro
This Par 56 course features 18 baskets on over 70 acres of rolling hills. The course was created by the Town of Wilkesboro and the Wilkes County Disc Golf Club and continues to be ranked as one of the top 3 disc golf courses in North Carolina. Find details HERE
Highland Hills Disc Golf Course
22 S Park Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC
The course sits among 27 beautiful, hilly acres of timbered land along the Yadkin River. The 18 holes include red, white and blue tees on each. The walk is about 2 miles in length. The par is set at 54 from all 3 tees. Find details HERE
Kerr Scott Reservoir

Hiking for Kids
This TRACK Trail and location has the most to offer, including lots of fun family activities! There is a paved bike path, mountain bike trails, canoeing & kayaking, camping, picnic areas, fishing, birding, and playgrounds available to the public. The trail, which is on the Fish Dam Creek Trail, is an out-and-back trail and is approximately 1 mile long. Find details HERE

Yadkin River Greenway
The Yadkin River Greenway is a 7.5 mile trail system (paved and graveled) that meanders along the river, through town and by historic markers. The greenway is a great place to bike, walk, fish or put-in a canoe or kayak!
