Sculpture is a popular medium in the NC High Country. And why wouldn't it be! With our cool summers and scenic falls, winters and springs, the sculptures always have a unique backdrop. Here is a list of walkable sculpture tours in Boone, Blowing Rock and Lenoir NC.
TUCKER’S GALLERY SCULPTURE WALK TOUR

Did you know that Caldwell County has the largest permanent sculpture collection in the US?!
Visit the 20 sculptures located in Downtown Lenoir. If you want to see more, you can see the Caldwell Arts Council’s signature permanent sculpture collection of over 80+ sculptures on display throughout Caldwell County. Pick up a sculpture map at the Caldwell Arts Council or Chamber of Commerce.
ROSEN OUTDOOR SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
Appalachian State University, Boone NC
Walk around the university campus and view 12 sculptures that are part of the Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition. This is a great way to tour the Appalachian State University campus while viewing contemporary American sculpture in an outdoor setting.

BLOWING ROCK SCULPTURE WALK
Blowing Rock has three sculptures within easy walking distance of each other. Plans to add more rotating sculptures throughout town are in the planning stage.
Chetola Resort hosts a sculpture walk in August. The walk features family friendly special events and exclusive dinners. *Cancelled 2020
Here is a list of Blowing Rock Sculptures that can be viewed year round:
- "Share this Whirled" is located at the "entrance" to Blowing Rock on North Main Street. The sculpture is located off a town sidewalk.
- "Jessie" is a statue of a little girl reading that can be found in front of the Blowing Rock Library
- "Elliott Daingerfield en plein air" is located in front of the Edgewood Cottage. The cottage was Daingerfield's summer workshop.
