MerleFest Music Festival Wilkesboro NC April 25-28 2024

ABOUT:

MerleFest is one of the largest outdoor Americana music festivals in the nation.  The festival hosts over 130 artists, performing on 13 stages during the course of the four-day event held on the grounds of Wilkesboro Community College in Wilkesboro NC.  The festival also features craft and food booths so you won't need to leave the festival grounds.  Find the full performer lineup HERE

HISTORY:

Merlefest was founded in 1988 in memory of the late Eddy Merle Watson, son of the late American music legend Doc Watson.

TIPS: 

• There is limited seating available, so if you plan to stay all day it is best to come early and bring your own lawn chair and claim a spot in the field. 
• The temperature can change dramatically through the course of the day this time of year, so be sure to dress in layers...bring an umbrella and sunscreen just in case! 
• Accommodations fill up fast for the event at campgrounds as well as hotels and cabins.  If you are having a difficult time finding lodging, call the visitor center at 828-264-1299.
