Ashe County Cheese

Visit Ashe County Cheese and visit the factory viewing room to see how cheese is made.  Across the street you can sample and purchase fresh cheese curds and a variety of cheeses.  Ice cream, candies and other old-fashioned treats and games can also be found here!

 

Museum of Ashe County History

If you have children that loves trains you need to visit the Museum of Ashe County History.  The museum has an extremely detailed diorama of the Virginia Creeper train route through the North Carolina High Country.  They have a scavenger hunt of items to look for in the diorama as well. 

Parkway Theater

 Next door to the Ashe County Cheese Factory is Parkway Theater.  This retro theater features retro prices with $5 kids tickets and popcorn starting at $2!
