Sparta NC Barn Quilt Trail

Launched by the Alleghany Quilters Guild in 2009, the Sparta NC Barn Quilt Trail meanders throught the town of Sparta and the Alleghany County countryside. Pack a picnic lunch and hit the road to view brightly painted barn quilt patterns on the sides of barns, businesses and houses. Here is the trail route in Mapquest format that you can open up in your phone to follow while you drive.  Brochures with photos of the barn quilts can be found at the Alleghany County Chamber office (which is where this route starts!).
