Bluffs Restaurant Blue Ridge Parkway Doughton Park

ABOUT

The now historic Bluffs Restaurant originally opened in 1949 and was a main feature of the High Country section of the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The restaurant was known as the stop for piping hot coffee after a night of camping and a fried chicken lunch perfect for a picnic.  Sadly, the restaurant closed at the end of the 2010 season and sat vacant and in desperate need of repair for five years. 

Luckily, all those that had happy memories of Bluffs Restaurant were able to persuade the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation to oversee the funding, repair and restoration, and leasing of the building. Support was provided from many sources and the restaurant reopened in August 2020!

BEFORE YOU GO

• We suggest checking The Bluffs website before going to make sure the hours of operation have not changed.  Currently, the restaurant opens for the 2022 season on May 20th.
• 2022 HOURS at Mon-Thur: 10:30-8 & Fri-Sun: 8-8
• The restaurant can be busy on the weekends, so dinner reservations are recommended. To make reservations, call: (336) 372-7875
