Children 11 and under and persons with disabilities may fish at Broyhill Parks Mayview Lake. There is a limit of three (3) fish per participant per day at Mayview Lake. All anglers must have a license and obey all posted fishing regulations. The only fish eligible for entry into the derby are freshly caught trout taken from Watauga County public trout waters. 6 - 6:30 Beginner Lesson
During the beginner lesson, we will go over the basic steps for salsa and bachata so you can start having fun. The Beginner's Lesson will overview basic stepping patterns for Salsa and Bachata and apply them to a few basic partnered dancing moves so even beginners can start having fun on the dance floor.
6:30 - 9 Social Dancing
From 6:30 - 9 pm the dance floor will be open for social dancing including Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue and Rueda de Casino.
A cash bar with beer, wine and mojitos will be available for patrons over 21. Soda and water will be available for patrons under 21.

Workshop at 1pm "Intermediate Old-Time 'Rhythm & Repertoire' Workshop"
Players of any of the traditional old-time instruments--fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and more--will be guided as a group through a selection of interesting tunes, with melodic, structural, and chordal details emphasized. While instrument-specific technical instruction will not be provided, we will present the tunes at manageable tempos for on-the-fly learning, suggest appropriate chord progressions, and encourage questions and discussion throughout the class. Participants can expect to come away with new repertoire to make their own as well as a heightened understanding of how to analyze fiddle tunes for clearer learning in the future. The use of recording devices is strongly recommended so that the class material can continue to be finessed at home.
