Blowing Rock Winterfest Polar Plunge Watch fearless contenders take the Plunge. The Polar Bear Plunge in Chetola Lake is one of the highlights at WinterFest. Chetola starts cutting through the layer of ice well in advance so Plungers can feel the full impact! Judges will award the famous Golden Plunger award to the best costume. Free admission for spectators.
