ART ON THE MOUNTAIN WEST JEFFERSON NC- SEPT 28 2024

ABOUT:

Ashe County Arts Council’s Art on the Mountain blends together local history as well as West Jefferson’s flourishing arts district through the work of art.  Over 30 artists set up on the grounds of the Ashe Arts Center for a fall arts and crafts festival.  Art on the Mountain is an opportunity for artists of all kinds to showcase their artwork. The fine arts show will be held on the grounds of the Ashe Arts Center at 303 School Avenue in Historic Downtown West Jefferson.

TIPS:

• • Downtown West Jefferson is know for its artist community, take time to visit the local art galleries and take the self-guided downtown mural walking tour (maps are available at the Ashe Arts Center)
  • Next to the Ashe Arts Center is Ashe County Cheese, North Carolina's only cheese factory!  Make sure to drop in and try the fresh cheese curds.
  • Make a weekend trip out of it! The town of West Jefferson features many great shoppes and activities. The closest hotel is Holiday Inn Express West Jefferson.  If you are looking for a conveniently located cabin, check with 4 Seasons Vacation Rentals. If you want a resort, visit Jefferson Landing Lodge and Golf Course!
