The Band Perry Kicks off An Appalachian Summer Festival

band-perry-pioneer-1200 An Appalachian Summer Festival is an annual multi-arts festival on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Throughout the month of July, locals and visitors can enjoy world-class entertainment spanning genres such as music, dance, theatre, visual arts and film. The highlight of every festival season is the Outdoor Fireworks Concert. This year, the concert kicks off at the beginning of the festival on July 6 with country superstars The Band Perry at Appalachian State's Kidd Brewer Stadium. Kidd Brewer Stadium is home to the Appalachian Mountaineer football team and is planted in the middle of campus surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is nothing like a summer night in the mountains and to spend it in a beautiful stadium, underneath the stars, watching one of country music's hottest acts is the perfect addition to any summer getaway. Sponsored by Blue Ridge Electric with a supporting sponsorship by Goodnight Brothers Country Ham, tickets to the Outdoor Fireworks Concert remain extremely affordable at $37 for general admission, $32 for Blue Ridge Electric Members and $5 for kids 6 &under.  The festival encourages concert goers to pack a picnic, sit back and enjoy the concert followed by a spectacular fireworks show!
