The 1908 Jones House Music & Arts

On the National Historic Register, the Jones House was built in 1908 by Dr. John Walter Jones.  Located in the middle of downtown Boone, on King Street, the beautiful turn of the century house has the perfect location for a community space. The house is the site of many activities and events throughout the year.  Here is a list of activities you can participate in at the Jones House:

·         Art Exhibits
The Jones House showcases the works of local artists that can be viewed free of charge from noon- 5pm, Tuesday-Friday, year-round.  On the 1st Friday night of every month but January, you can attend the artist’s reception.  This free event gives you a chance to meet the artists, chat with community members and enjoy light refreshments.

·         Weekly Jam Sessions
The weekly Jam Sessions provide an opportunity for local musicians to play together every Thursday evening from 7:30 pm –  11 pm. Visitors are welcome to bring their instruments and play along or just sit and enjoy the music.

·         Concerts on the Jones House Lawn

Concerts on the Lawn are held every Friday June-September.  The concerts start at 5pm and are free.  Remember to bring your own blanket or lawn chair to sit on!
