Shine to Wine Festival, Wilkesboro, September 17 2016 is held in downtown North Wilkesboro from 1pm – 7pm. The festival celebrates the history of moonshine in the area and how Wilkes County has evolved to become well known for great wines as well! Festival goers can taste area moonshine, wine, beer and even coffee! For history buffs there will be vintage moonshine running cars and still memorabilia. Arts, crafts and food vendors will also be on sight as well as live music.
- Arrive early and visit the Wilkes County History Museum and Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame in Wilkesboro, just 5 minutes from the festival. Behind the museum you will find the jail where the famed Tom Dooley was kept. Be sure to check out both.
