    This weather website is based out of Boone, NC and is run by meteorologists based in the heart of the NC High Country.

    The North Carolina Department of Transportation provides real-time information on road closures, construction and maintenance and weather events on this site.

 

  • BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY REAL-TIME CLOSURES
    The Blue Ridge Parkway can provide endless views and feeling of solitude in the winter, making it a great drive!  But remember that the BRP road is not maintained in the winter, so if conditions deteriorate the National Park Service will close parkway gates for safety.  This website provides a real-time map of current Blue Ridge Parkway closures.
