Visit Grandfather Mountain for an afternoon of nature programs about animals that some consider creepy and crawly! This fun-filled celebration includes an opportunity to trick-or-treat through the animal habitats area and then watch special Halloween enrichments be given to the animals. Hitchcock Radio Hour

Two tales of horror and suspense set the mood for your Halloween fears to fester. Performed as staged radio plays, you'll feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and a chill run down your spine as the characters and creatures of the night come to life via the old-time radio show format. You will experience what it would have been like to be the studio audience of a 1930's live radio broadcast, complete with all the music and sound effects being performed live on stage. Details HERE

Join Spookley the Square Pumpkin and the Apple Hill Farm animals for a storybook trail Trick-or-Treat Tour! On this educational and hands-on mini-tour, your Tour Ghoul will share fun facts about the animals at each stop and safely distribute goodies for each child. Parents and children of all age groups are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. Appalachian State students will be handing out candy from their decorated vehicles. Some will even be providing activities/games designed for all ages. We will have vehicles clearly marked to provide parents of children with food sensitivities a safe place to receive treats. Please join us for an evening of fun fall festivities and we look forward to seeing you there!

Blue Ridge Community Theatre will present an adaptation of Orson Welles' Mercury Theater Radio Broadcast of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Bring blankets and chairs, grab some popcorn and prepare to be entranced by one of the most-published stories of all time. Tickets are $10 and available at the venue on each night of the performance.

Trick or Treat Halloween Spooktacular

Stores will host a Monster Challenge Scavenger hunt where families find fun clues and complete a scavenger hunt card for a chance to win a $100.00 Tanger Shopping Spree! A variety of fun activities are planned for the family such as a costume contest, a Touch-A-Truck meet and greet with local fire and police, and even a monster mash dance off in the courtyard.
