Spending Easter in the NC High Country can be a real treat. You can enjoy the first signs of spring. The crocus and daffodils will be popping up and the birds will be chirping and hopping about. Eggs will be hidden on Main Street. Once you find 10 eggs, return to Sparta UMC to trade them in for a goody bag full of Easter treats! *Park at Sparta UMC to start the hunt

Enjoy an Easter egg hunt in the park and an appearance from the Easter Bunny!
- Banner Elk Easter Event
April 9, 11-1pm, Tate Evans Park
Egg hunts (one for younger kids and one for older kids). This will be a morning filled with fun and entertainment! There will be a magician, a free scoop of ice cream for kids from BE Scooped, and a bonus Egg Hunt! The event will take place in the Tate-Evans Town Park. - Helicopter Egg Drop
April 15-16, 10am-5pm, Alpha & Omega Corn Maze, Hamptonville
More than 30,000 plastic eggs will fall out of the sky. Hi tech helicopters will be offering helicopter rides between drop times at an additional fee. Our very own Thumper the Easter Bunny will join us for pictures with the children. Explore this 20-acre agritourism complex with the farm consisting of: Helicopter Egg Hunt, (4 drop times for your convenience ), Corn Cob Express, Corn Box, Picnic Pavilion, See Saws, Tug of War, Animal Acres, Pipe World, Bounce Pillow, Corn Hole, Hayride, Local Vendors, Photo Opportunities & much more. We have an on site restaurant serving a delicious breakfast & lunch menu. Breakfast items include our famous bunny pancakes, sausage biscuits, soft drinks, coffee, and hot chocolate. For lunch we will be serving our famous burgers along with our traditional corn maze menu. Indoor restroom facilities are on site. Gates open at 8 AM. There will be 4 egg drops each day: 9am, 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Cost for the event is $12.00. Food is priced separately.
