Apple Hill Farm
Apple Hill Farm will be leading trick-or-treat mini-tours of the farm in the evenings, where guests can come dressed in their Halloween best and collect candy and gifts from the alpacas, llamas, goats, and other animals that call Apple Hill Farm home. On this educational and hands-on mini-tour, your Tour Ghoul will share fun facts about the animals at each stop and safely distribute goodies for each child.. Blue Ridge Community Theatre will present an adaptation of Orson Welles' Mercury Theater Radio Broadcast of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Bring blankets and chairs, grab some popcorn and prepare to be entranced by one of the most-published stories of all time. Tickets are $10 and available at the venue on each night of the performance.

Stores will host a Monster Challenge Scavenger hunt where families find fun clues and complete a scavenger hunt card for a chance to win a $100.00 Tanger Shopping Spree! A variety of fun activities are planned for the family such as a costume contest, a Touch-A-Truck meet and greet with local fire and police, and even a monster mash dance off in the courtyard. Welcome to the museum’s lecture on ’Monsters, Murderers and Madmen.’ You have no doubt enjoyed the Chamber of Horrors display in the lobby and are listening attentively to Professor Dirk Carlton, a renowned Egyptologist, tell of his discovery of the Pharaoh Menkaura’s tomb. Suddenly, while watching a slide of the ruler’s sarcophagus, the projector goes off, plunging the auditorium into darkness. When the lights come on, someone is dead! You, the audience is now drawn into this mystery, both as witnesses and suspects. When Lt. Dan Morrow arrives, he narrows the suspects to seven. Was it the jealous wife? Or the exotic Egyptian who cursed the expedition? The lieutenant enlists the audience’s aid in solving the crime, allowing them to question and accuse the suspects. Your audience will be caught up in this ’virtual’ thriller, uncovering the clues that reveal the killer in the electrifying climax. This unique mystery contains as many laughs as it does shivers. Learn about Rendezvous Mountain's Colorful History of untimely deaths and the possibility of paranormal activity on the mountain. Learn about what really takes place on Rendezvous after the sun goes down. A walk in the woods after dark can be a pleasant learning experience rather than scary. This event is free and open to the public.
This free event will begin at 7:00 pm in the upper parking lot each night.
