NC High Country Easter 2024 Guide

Spending Easter in the NC High Country can be a real treat.  You can enjoy the first signs of spring.  The crocus and daffodils will be popping up and the birds will be chirping and hopping about.  Bring your family up and make a memorable weekend.  Here is a list of Easter events and dining opportunities in Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and West Jefferson North Carolina:

• Aqua Egg Hunt
  March 15 @ 3:30, Watauga County Recreation Center
  
  This event is for children ages 1-5, but all are welcome to attend! Free for all members or day pass for
  non-members!

• High Country Easter Eggstravaganza
  March 27 @ 5:30, Watauga County Recreation Center Ballfields

• Sparta Annual Easter Egg Hunt
  March 30 @ 10am, Crouse Park
  For kids all ages. For details, call 336-372-1599

• Jefferson Egg Hunt
  March 30 @ 10-12pm, Mount Jefferson State Park 
  The hunt starts at 10:00 am at the Mount Jefferson Picnic Shelter on Saturday, March 30th. Eggs will be available first-come first-served. Ages birth- 12. There will be a park ranger led discussion about animals in the Spring to follow.

• Blowing Rock NC Easter Egg Hunt
  March 23rd @ 10am, Memorial Park
  Enjoy an Easter egg hunt in the park and pictures with the Easter Bunny!

• Banner Elk Photos With the Easter Bunner
  March 23, Corner Park on Main Street
  Edgar the Easter Bunny will pose for pictures at a special Easter-themed selfie station from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring your own camera or cell phone to capture Easter memories. Families, pets and children of all ages are invited to get their pictures made, and a chamber volunteer will be available to take the pictures, if desired. Edgar will also give Easter candy to the kiddos.
  
  

• Sugar Bear Easter Egg Hunt
  March 10 @ 8:45am, Easy Street Slopeside, Sugar Mtn Ski Resort
  Search the slopes for prize filled eggs with Sugar and Sweetie bears! Event for 12 and under only. Valid lift ticket and equipment required.

• Beech Mountain NC Hoppy Easter Party
  March 30 @ 11-1pm, Buckeye Recreation Center, Beech Mountain
  Join us for an “egg-straordinary party and egg hunt” There will be games, activities, & the hunt for kids 12 & under. 

• Helicopter Egg Drop
  March 29-30 @ 9:30-5pm, Alpha & Omega Farm, Hamptonville
  More than 30,000 plastic eggs will fall out of the sky. Hi tech helicopters will be offering helicopter rides between drop times at an additional fee. Our very own Thumper the Easter Bunny will join us for pictures with the children. Explore this 20-acre agritourism complex with the farm consisting of: Helicopter Egg Hunt, (4 drop times for your convenience ), Corn Cob Express, Corn Box, Picnic Pavilion, See Saws, Tug of War, Animal Acres, Pipe World, Bounce Pillow, Corn Hole, Hayride, Local Vendors, Photo Opportunities & much more. We have an on site restaurant serving a delicious breakfast & lunch menu. Breakfast items include our famous bunny pancakes, sausage biscuits, soft drinks, coffee, and hot chocolate. For lunch we will be serving our famous burgers along with our traditional corn maze menu. Indoor restroom facilities are on site. Gates open at 8 AM.  There will be 4 egg drops each day: 9am, 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Cost for the event is $14.00. Food is priced separately.

  March 31 @ 1:15pm, The Block, North Wilkesboro
