Deeply rooted in North American folk music, Norris has crafted a performance that harkens back and tips a hat to the traditions created by Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin's showmanship, the Stanley Brothers' harmonies, performances of the Grand Ole Opry and a bit of Vaudeville. Top notch picking is center stage, but humor and visual flash are part of the entertaining package. Always clad in colorful, tailored suits adorned with rhinestones, ties, classic hats and ornate boots, the band earns its moniker as a show. The brand is traditional, clean cut, acoustic and always entertaining. INDOOR CONCERTS AT THE JONES HOUSE: $20 per person Only 40 seats are available Advanced reservation/payment is required Doors open 30 minutes prior to the show Workshops are free, but require pre-registration. The dancer will use the ball of their toe, heel, or whole foot to strike the ground on the downbeat of the rhythm as a way to accompany musicians and keep the beat. The Appalachian Mountain Region is home to many distinct forms of percussive dance and this program will focus on flatfoot dancing in the style of Willard C Watson Sr (1905-1995) and the Precision Clogging Steps of the Green Grass Cloggers (1971-Present). The presentation will be led by North Carolina Appalachian Folklife Apprenticeship Team, Rodney Sutton, and Willard C. Watson III.

It follows 20-year-old sensation Lily Hevesh, the world’s most acclaimed domino toppler and the only girl in her field, as she rises as an artist, role model, and young woman. Filmed for over three years across countless cities and featuring appearances by Jimmy Fallon, Katy Perry, Will Smith, YouTuber Casey Neistat, and a steady stream of Gen-Z creators, “Lily Topples the World” is a coming-of-age story cloaked within a unique portrait of an artist, a story of how passion and artistry can make dreams come true, and an unlikely American tale of a quiet Chinese adoptee who transforms into a global artistic force with over one billion YouTube views. According to Slash/Film, a critical review compendium, “Lily Topples the World” is "An undeniable crowd pleaser! It’s just the kind of unbridled optimism one might seek out after a year marred by despair, delivered by a startling bright ball of sunshine."
