We strive to expose students to all aspects of art , current art makers, and the elements of art (line, space, color, balance, etc.), while letting them run a little wild with their own imagination. We hear lots of kids this age saying “But I don’t know howwwww!!!!!!â€. We enjoy creating a space for your child to slow down, be in the moment, and be comfortable trying something new.
This class is a great social experience and opportunity to share ideas, brainstorm as a class, and make big decisions about their personal art!
We paint, we draw, we tinker & build. We use fine art materials like watercolors, chalk, tempera + acrylic paints, and unique surfaces, tools and heavyweight papers.
Our talented & experienced instructors deliver a balanced mix of both instructional age-appropriate projects and open-ended, process-based creative prompts that leave the subject matter up to the individual artist!
We will create works on canvas, with the earth, sculpting clay and many other creative materials!
Each day will be a new experience! On day 5 we will have an artist art show! Showcasing all the creative works throughout the week! Parents, friends and grandparents are all
invited! See and share in what your little artist created!
Class is open for ages 5-10, and 11-15, please specify your child's age at sign up.
Class will include all materials and a T-Shirt to commemorate their creative fun!

The modern banjo is an instrument commonly associated with the Appalachian region and Bluegrass music, but the origins of this instrument extend beyond the rolling hills of the Southern mountains, to West Africa. The banjo has evolved over the generations from a gourd body with gut strings to a metal resonator body and steel strings like we see today.
This program will be led by Mark Freed, the Director of Cultural Resources for the Town of Boone and Banjo Scholar. This will be both parts lecture and demonstration, with Freed performing tunes and techniques for each iteration of the instrument.

OUR SATURDAY KIDS THEATER SERIES) A play filled with charm and energetic humor. Creative storytelling drives the action and the actors, and the audience partners in the tales. Two bumbling actors try to present a few of the world's most beloved fairy tales. Unfortunately, their script becomes seriously scrambled and they perform "Goldisocks and the Three Wolves," "The Three Billy Trolls Gruff," and "The Three Little Bears." With determination (and a bullhorn), a crotchety, old retiree is on a mission to save the loons of Lake Winnipesaukee. His summer expectations are thwarted by a brash, townie teenager hired to clean the house next door. While the two initially grate on each other, they gradually form a unique intergenerational bond. This heart-warming show is an often humorous, and sometimes poignant tale of two individuals learning to take back control of their lives.
