Boone NC Heritage Festival- Oct 8 2017

ABOUT:

The Boone NC Heritage Festival October 8 2017 will take place at Hickory Ridge Living History Museum in Daniel Boone Park (where the Horn in the West outdoor drama takes place) in Boone NC.  The festival features old-time music performances, storytellers, historical demonstrations from the Revolutionary/Colonial time periods, craft and food vendors and children’s activities. Try your hand at ax throwing or see how the first settlers cooked squirrel over an open fire!  For a detailed schedule of performers, CLICK HERE

TIPS:

  • Dress in layers.  The weather can change quickly in the mountains.
  • Seating is available at the Cabin Stage, but you may want to bring a chair, just in case.
  • Be sure to try the two must-have signature foods of this event:  A Scotch Egg and a Fried Apple Pie!
  • This is a great event for multi-generational groups with plenty of children’s activities and live music and storytelling with ample seating for the old generations
