    Enjoy a small town parade, free watermelon and music in Downtown Boone. Fireworks will take place 3o minutes after dark at Clawson-Burnley Park.

  • BURNING IN EFFIGY OF KING GEORGE III
    July 4 2019
    Visit the 1700's with a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, drinking of apple cider and burning King George III's effigy.  The event takes place from 5:30-6:30pm at the Hickory Ridge Living History Museum in Boone.

  • NORTH WILKESBORO GREAT AMERICAN FIRETRUCK PARADE & FIREWORKS
    July 4 2019
    Emergency vehicles of all sizes will parade through the downtown area honoring firefighters, rescue squads, police and sheriff's departments from Wilkes and surrounding counties. After the parade, sit back and enjoy the annual fireworks display from Memorial Park. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and spend the evening.

    July 6 2019, 2-3pm
    This small mountain town loves a parade and just about everyone from the town and surrounding communities line up along Main Street to watch the color guard, floats, fire trucks, old cars and marchers. 

 

  • CROSSNORE FOURTH CELEBRATION
    July 4 2019 4-Dark
    The celebration starts with a parade @4, followed by free watermelon, live music, children's inflatables and an old-fashioned frog jumping contest! Food will be for sale supporting local groups. A street dance starts at 7, with fireworks ending the celebration at dark.

 

  • NEWLAND INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
    July 6 2019
    The event starts at noon with a parade, followed by live music, pie eating contests, craft and food vendors, kids activities and more!
