The NC High Country is the perfect play for visitors to celebrate the birth of the United States!  The cool mountain temperatures in the Boone, Blowing Rock NC area, free family events and outdoor activities make the NC High Country a popular summer vacation location.   • TOWN of BOONE NC 4th of JULY CELEBRATION

    Enjoy a small town parade, free watermelon and music in Downtown Boone. Fireworks will take place 3o minutes after dark at Clawson-Burnley Park.

  • 49th ANNUAL BEECH MOUNTAIN NC ROASTING of the HOG

    Enjoy pork, smoked turkey and all the fixin's. Fireworks at dark! 

 

  • BEECH MOUNTAIN 4th of JULY FAMILY CELEBRATION

    Run in the Sparkler 5K at 10am and stay for the FREE bounce houses, yard games, face painting, food and fun for the whole family in the Beech Mountain Kite Field from 11am-2pm.

  • BANNER ELK NC ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
    July 3rd, 2021 11am
    The best small town parade you'll ever attend! Starting at 11 a.m., floats, bikes, cars, people parade down Main Street. Note for Parade Participants: Due to safety issues and insurance requirements, there is absolutely no throwing of candy or any items from vehicles. You may walk close to the curb and pass out candy to children.

  • CONTINENTAL ARMY ENCAMPMENT & INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

  • NORTH WILKESBORO GREAT AMERICAN FIRETRUCK PARADE & FIREWORKS

    Emergency vehicles of all sizes will parade through the downtown area honoring firefighters, rescue squads, police and sheriff's departments from Wilkes and surrounding counties. After the parade, sit back and enjoy the annual fireworks display from Memorial Park. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket and spend the evening.

  • SPARTA FOURTH of JULY PARADE

    This small mountain town loves a parade and just about everyone from the town and surrounding communities line up along Main Street to watch the color guard, floats, fire trucks, old cars and marchers. 

 

  • CROSSNORE FOURTH CELEBRATION

    The celebration starts with a parade followed by free watermelon, live music, children's inflatables and an old-fashioned frog jumping contest! Food will be for sale supporting local groups. A street dance starts at 7, with fireworks ending the celebration at dark.

 

  • NEWLAND INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL

    The event starts at noon with live music, craft and food vendors at Riverwalk Park and Bandstand. Fireworks at dark!

 

  • FIREWORKS AT SUGAR MOUNTAIN
    July 4th, 2021
    Fireworks begin around 9:00 p.m. The Summit Express chairlift runs until 10:00 p.m. for mountain-top fireworks viewing. Musical performance at the base lodge from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and food and beverages are available.
