Sparta is conveniently located to the Piedmont of North Carolina and Southwest Virginia. Sparta is only a 1.25 hour drive from Winston Salem or a two hour drive from Greensboro, North Carolina.

· High Country Lights

Features thousands of LED lights that are choreographed to your favorite Christmas tunes on 96.5 FM. This free light show is the winner of “Best Animated Light Show” on the National Tacky Light Tour. For more details, Click HERE
· Choose & Cut Farms Open
November 15- December 24

· Sparta NC Christmas Parade
November 29: 2:00pm
This small town parade features homemade floats, old vehicles, and folks just having a good time. Come early to make sure you get a good viewing spot on the route. The parade begins at 2pm and begins about a half mile north of the Courthouse, travels through town a half mile past the Courthouse, turns left on Blue Ridge Street and follows it into the Village Park parking lot.
· Christmas Arts & Craft Fair
Catch the spirit of the season at this indoor, juried craft event. The Fair is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Shop the various vendors of handmade items in indoor comfort. Food is available throughout the day. The Fair is held in the Emerson Black Exhibition Building at the County Fairgrounds, 1.5 miles north of Sparta on US 21 at its intersection with Bledsoe Creek Road.
