Dan’l Boone Inn: Delicious Homecooked Meals For Over 40 Years
For over 40 years, Dan’l Boone Inn has been serving Boone and the high country delicious homecooked meals, just like you remember at grandma’s house.
Our family style meals begin with a salad in the summer and soup in the winter. Three meats and five vegetables are served along with biscuits, preserves, dessert and beverage.
A full family style breakfast is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Dan’l Boone Inn has recently been honored by both Southern Living Magazine and Our State Magazine for our country cuisine. The restaurant placed third in Southern Living in the reader’s choice awards for country cooking restaurants.
We also won first place among readers of Our State Magazine for Family Dining/Country Cooking and third place under Best Restaurant in North Carolina.

Have You Been To Stick Boy Bread Company?
We are a small, family-owned artisan bakery where high quality baked goods and great service come together to create a special experience for you, our customer. We offer everything from fresh baked breads, steaming cappuccinos, delicious cinnamon rolls, and decadent chocolate tortes.
The best part is that everything is made right here in our bakery using the best ingredients and methods. Nothing that we serve is shipped in frozen from thousands of miles away like in most “supermarket” bakeries. Nothing is taken out of a box, put in the oven for 10 minutes, and then labeled “fresh baked”. This is the real thing. We promise – and we promise that you will be able to taste the difference.

Pepper’s Restaurant: A High Country Establishment Since 1975
Pepper’s was established in 1975, serving the High Country its first taste of sumptuous, “deli style” sandwiches.
In addition, we were one of the first restaurants in Boone to recycle all of our cardboard, glass, plastic, tin and aluminum. We have also cleaned up our own environment by becoming a 100% smoke-free establishment.
Our goal at Pepper’s is to serve the freshest, highest quality food available. We hope you have a pleasant dining experience here at Pepper’s.
A recent review from TripAdvisor.com:
“My family lives in Boone, and it’s the one place I have to go everytime we visit. The Jean Lawson w/ steak fries, and a Mud Pie at the end is the way to go. For the money, the food service and atmosphere is awesome. The only downside to the place is when you have to sit at one of the central tables, I feel a bit in the way. Othwerwise, it’s one of my favorite places to go hang out and eat!”
